Former Athersley Rec joint manager Jason Dodsworth is the new assistant manager at Handsworth Parramore.
Dodsworth has been on a sabbatical since quitting his role at Athersley after 12 glittering years there. He replaces Mark Ward who left the club last week.
He links up with Mick Godber for the first time tomorrow night when Handsworth face Staveley in the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup.
Dodsworth said: “When the position became available at Handsworth it was easy to accept the role. It’s a fantastic club that’s got ambitions to move up the football ladder. The club is well known and well respected in the football pyramid, and it goes without saying that it is built on a fantastic foundation of volunteers and a superb youth system, from the Juniors right through to the seniors it’s a fantastic club to be at.”
Parramore boss Mick Godber said: “Jason’s experience and enthusiasm to join up with the club, together with his knowledge and work ethic will (I feel) be a great addition to the management team. I’m looking forward to building a strong and successful relationship with him.”
