Farsley beat play-offs rivals Scarborough

Evo Stik Division One North

Farsley striker James Walshaw scored twice

James Walshaw’s double made sure Farsley Celtic maintained their promotion charge with the 4-1 victory at play-offs rivals Scarborough Athletic.

Farsley stormed to an early 2-0 lead through Peter Davidson and Walshaw before Cameron Murray brought the Seadogs back into it.

Paul Walker increased Farsley’s lead in the second half. Farsley’s Richard Marshall (second bookable offence) and Scarborough’ Benny Igiehon were then both sent off in separate incidents before Walshaw added his second goal right at the end.

Frickley Athletic were beaten 3-2 at Nantwich Town in the Evo Stik Premier Division.

A double from Ross Burrows sparked a frantic finish, but Frickley were unable to equalise.
