Red hot Pontefract Collieries stormed to the top of the table courtesy of the incident-filled 5-2 victory over Teversal.
With AFC Emley’s clash at Dronfield Town being postponed, Pontefract took full advantage.
In a controversial opening 30 minutes, Teversal were reduced to ten men before the Colls scored two quick-fire goals thanks to Chris Jackson and Chris Wood, who scored with an audacious close range back-heel.
Kane Reece seemingly put the game beyond ten man Teversal on the hour mark. However, Teversal mounted a spirited comeback with two goals from Kurtis Bamford.
Fortunately the Colls held their visitors off. Jackson and Mikey Dunn settled matters late-on.
Their promotion rivals Grimsby Borough beat Nostell Miners Welfare 3-0.
