Hall Road Rangers boss Dave Ricardo has said his players need no motivation for when they travel to second placed AFC Emley tomorrow.
Ricardo has also said it is top of the tables matches such as tomorrow that makes him wish he still played.
Ricardo said: “Saturday’s match is the sort of game you want to be a part of. If motivation is ever an issue in a players mind-set it won’t be for a top of the league clash on a decent surface on a Saturday afternoon at the business end of the season like we have coming up.
“It will even get the more relaxed player up for it. This is a match that I as a former player miss playing in, you think about it all week and the days seem to stop when counting down to match day.
“Because of some of our recent results, it gives me confidence in that we can go there and get three points. Its not going to be easy, far from it and concentration is going to be key. I don’t think it will be a war of attrition such as the win at Hallam but more of a case of taking our chances when they arise.”
Hall Road will only have midfield duo Ash Allanson missing due to injury whilst Brad Ricketts is unavailable. James Piercy, who missed last weekend’s East Riding Senior Cup win over Hanson Jewellers on penalties, has shaken off a groin strain, whilst Tom Bennett, Ash Dexter, Phil Dobson and leading scorer Chris Spinks are all expected to be restored to the starting line-up.
