Ten-man Farsley Celtic stole the points in the dramatic, controversial and incident-filled 5-4 victory at nine-men Hyde United.
Adam Clayton hit the injury-time winner for Farsley in the ding-dong encounter after pouncing on Lewis Nightingale’s corner.
Farsley led 1-0 at half-time through Jordan Deacey before the game exploded with goals and red cards in the second half.
Hyde initially hit two quick-fire goals to go 2-1 in front. Then on the hour, former Farsley captain Paddy Miller saw red for kicking out at Deacey.
From the resulting free kick, his old team-mate James Walshaw joined him for an early bath as he was deemed to have committed a reckless tackle on Hyde goalkeeper Russ Saunders.
The two moments of mayhem set up a frantic finale which first saw Chris Howarth level the scores at 2-2.
Janni Lispki placed Hyde in front again until the last five minutes which saw four further goals.
Richard Marshall scored a penalty for Farsley after James Burke was sent off for a second bookable offence following a handball.
Spurred on, Farsley got the score to 4-3 thanks to Aiden Savory. However, a free kick from former Harrogate Railway man Lawrance Hunter saw Hyde seemingly secure a dramatic point – until Clayton’s heroics.
Benny Igiehon’s late equaliser rescued Scarborough Athletic a point in the 1-1 draw at Trafford.
Goole AFC were beaten 4-0 at Colne.
A late goal saw brave Frickley Athletic lose 1-0 at home to Hednesford United.
