Hemsworth left-winger Richard Collier scored his side’s third goal at Harrogate Railway
Hemsworth Miners Welfare ended a run of three consecutive victories by winning 4-2 at Harrogate Railway.
Railway, now under the guidance of under 18s boss Ray Green for the rest of the season, took the lead through the returning Roy Fogarty who capitalised on a mistake by Wells goalkeeper Sam Leigh.
Hemsworth responded strongly though and led at the break after Nash Connolly and Sam Jones struck.
The score remained at 2-1 until the final ten minutes. Highly-rated winger Richard Collier rode down the left to score Hemsworth’s third goal. Luke Danville then converted a corner before Stephen Bromley reduced the deficit in the final minute.
Handsworth Parramore beat resurgent Barton Town Old Boys 4-0 at Sandy Lane.
Stephen Warne, Jon Froggatt, Reece Hands and Alex Rippon scored for Parramore.
Parramore also gave 17-year-old goalkeeper Jim Pollard his debut.
In the League Cup quarter-final tie, Bridlington Town dramatically defeated AFC Mansfield 3-1 at Queensgate.
Curtis Woodhouse’s side were heading out until Jordan Harrison forced extra-time.
Joel Sutton placed Brid ahead before Harrison wrapped the victory up.
