Lewis Nightingale scored a hat-trick, along with James Walshaw in Farsley Celtic’s incredible 7-0 win at Ramsbottom

Lewis Nightingale and James Walshaw hit hat-tricks as promotion-chasing Farsley Celtic stormed to an incredible 7-0 victory at Ramsbottom United.

Midfielder Nightingale landed the first blows on Ramsbottom with two quick-fire goals either side of the 20 minute mark.

As half-time approached, Walshaw added the third after some excellent play.

The Celts wasted no time after the break to go further ahead as Walshaw quickly completed his treble with two further goals.

Richard Marshall added the sixth goal before Nightingale charged through Ramsbottom’s defence to score his third and Farsley’s seventh.

In the Integro League Cup quarter-final, Scarborough Athletic lost 3-2 at Clitheroe.

The Seadogs led twice through Billy Logan and Benny Igiehon before succumbing to defeat.
