Assistant manager Andy Shepherd believes Campion can be proud of how well they have done in their historic first season in the NCEL.
Bradford-based Campion are on course for a top eight finish with eight games to go and Shepherd reckons that would be a great achievement.
“Results have probably caught up with us in the last couple of weeks because we’ve had a few players out,” Shepherd told Non League Yorkshire.
“It is a longer season than we are used to, but ultimately we are doing really well.
“Most of the lads have either not played at this level before or only played the odd game, but they have acquitted themselves really well.
“If we can finish in the top eight it will be a really great first season and something to build on for next season.”
Shepherd also confirmed that Campion plan to improve their Manningham Mills home over the coming months.
Campion already have one of the best changing facilities and clubhouses in the two NCEL Divisions and Shepherd says work is planned for the ground.
“We had a meeting a few weeks ago and we would like to do some work on the ground between now and next season,” he said.
“It will be probably be done in two phases to get to where we want to be.
“Hopefully the ground will become better than it is now.”
