The long-awaited Ryan White day went completely to plan as Athersley Rec ran out 2-0 winners against strugglers Parkgate.
The Rec have been waiting for over a month to celebrate White’s 1000 appearances for them as postponements have stopped them.
So when Parkgate visited, Rec stalwart Pete Goodlad was able to present White and his family with several gifts to commemorate the occasion.
On the field, the Rec made sure it was a day to remember as Jack Briscoe and Kai Hancock scored to keep their side on course for a superb top half finish.
A late rally from Clipstone saw Handsworth Parramore lose 3-2 at Sandy Lane. Aaron Moxam and Jon Froggatt had put Parramore on their way to victory until Clipstone scored twice in the last few minutes.
Liversedge were held to a goal-less draw by Hemsworth Miners Welfare, while Pickering Town and Retford United also finished with the same score-line.
