Richard Stirrup’s stunning winner ensured Stocksbridge Park Steels remain in the race for the play-offs.
Stirrup, who has been a revelation since returning from Australia, also hit the opener in the sixth minute as he finished off a superbly flighted pass from Harrison Biggins.
Reuben Wiggins-Thomas levelled the game on the half-hour mark for Belper.
But the final word was left to Stirrup, whose stunning volley into the left-hand bottom corner proved to be the winner.
Belper threw everything at Stocksbridge, culminating in Steels goalkeeper David Reay saving Wiggins-Thomas’ injury-time chance.
