Pickering defender Sam Denton scored against his old club Handsworth
Pickering Town’s Sam Denton scored the winner against his old club Handsworth Parramore to keep the heat on leaders Cleethorpes Town.
Denton’s 15th minute drive was the only goal in the clash at Sandy Lane.
Tom Copping’s late equaliser completed Athersley Rec’s recovery from 3-1 down in the 3-3 draw with ten man Hemsworth Miners Welfare.
Richard Collier, Brice Tiani and Nash Connolly had given Hemsworth their lead. Kai Hancock and Jack Briscoe got Athersley’s other two goals. Hemsworth had Lloyd Henderson sent off.
Mark Simpson scored during his 100th appearance for Garforth Town, but his side went down 2-1 at AFC Mansfield.
