Blaine Kellett will never have to buy another drink in Worsbrough after he scored with an incredible strike for Nostell
Hero Blaine Kellett did Worsbrough Bridge a massive favour after scoring a wonder goal for relegated Nostell Miners Welfare in the 1-1 draw at Westella & Willerby.
The stalemate means Worsbrough could definitively secure their NCEL status for next season with a victory over Teversal on Saturday – as long as Westella drop points at Hallam.
The first half did contain a remarkable moment as Nostell assistant manager and make-shift goalkeeper Scott Atkinson saved Danny Walker’s early penalty.
Walker did redeem himself with a goal later on, but Kellett had the last word.

Kieran Watson and Jack Hargreaves guided Hallam to a 2-1 win over Shirebrook Town.
Penistone Church threw away a two-goal lead in the 3-3 draw at Brigg Town. Scott Whittington, Luke Johnson and Jack Moore scored for Penistone.
In the Premier Division, Retford United won 2-0 at Albion Sports.
