Farsley and Tad set for WRCC final

West Riding County Cup

Tadcaster Albion and Farsley Celtic will meet in the West Riding County Cup final at the i2i Sports Stadium tonight.

The final is being held at Tadcaster as Valley Parade is unavailable this year. Farsley agreed to face Tadcaster on their home ground, ironically nearly six years after the two sides met at the same venue for the NCEL President’s Cup.

Title-chasing Farsley will hope they have more luck than got that night when Paul Marshall stormed to a surprise 5-1 win to scupper Celtic’s hopes of winning the treble.

Farsley are aiming to win the County Cup for the first time since 2006. Tadcaster have never won the competition.
