Toolstation NCEL Division One
Selby Town 1-1 Penistone Church
Selby Town guaranteed themselves tenth spot with a deserved draw with promotion-chasing Penistone Church in front of almost 400 people.
It meant that the successful 2017 NCEL Easter GroundHop came to its conclusion on a high note.
Selby, who extended their unbeaten run to eight games, now have a faint chance of gaining an Emirates FA Cup place for next season.
Dane Mortimer’s bullet header gave them a first half lead close to half-time.
Penistone hit back strongly in the second half. Selby’s star goalkeeper Pete Lawrie made several great saves, including one in the build-up to the equaliser. He denied Andy Ring’s close range goal-bound effort, but was unable to prevent Scott Whittingham’s tap-in from finding the net.
