Shaw Lane need four points from their final two matches to clinch the title following their latest victory.
The Ducks may only need three as their goal difference is far greater than their challenger Witton Albion.
The first half was goal-less, but Shaw Lane did not waste any time in the second. Work horse Kieran Lugsden, back in the side after a few games on the bench, drilled home the opener.
Shaw Lane were then awarded a penalty. However, Gavin Allott’s effort was saved.
Fortunately it did not matter as Alex Byrne hit a superb half volley to seal it and keep the Ducks on course.
