Farsley Celtic and Ossett Town will meet in the play-off final on Saturday after superb victories in their respective semi-final ties.

Ossett were the headline grabbers after a magnificent 3-1 victory at Scarborough Athletic, who ended their nine-year stay at Bridlington Town on a low note.

Over 1000 people turned out for the clash which saw former Hemsworth Miners Welfare captain Jason Yates be the hero for Ossett with a two-goal haul.

Scarborough, whose main striker Benny Igiehon missed the game because of injury, had no answer for Ossett, who once again showed their ability to run through brick walls for Grant Black.

Perennial hero Danny Frost won the plaudits for the deadlock breaker. It was his perseverance in chasing down a lost cause and tackling Niall Flint which enabled Yates to fire home.

Scarborough did draw level in the second when Adam Bolder converted a penalty after referee Samuel Barrott spotted a handball.

Ossett won a penalty of their own to re-take the lead. Yates did the honours.

The contest was over once as Ashley Jackson headed home.

The victory books a trip to Farsley, the team they convincingly beat on Bank Holiday Monday.

Farsley stormed past Colne, with Aiden Savory, James Walshaw, Adam Clayton and Lewis Nightingale scored in the 4-0 victory.
