Garforth Town defender Ryan Donoghue was an unlikely goal-scorer

Garforth Town nearly staged a dramatic comeback following a late rally in the home defeat to Cleethorpes Town.

Cleethorpes appeared to have blown the Miners away in the first half having hit three goals in 20 minutes.

Marc Cooper hit the opener after being given too much space. Peter Winn then converted a penalty.

The contest appeared over when Jonathan Oglesby scored a delightful goal from out wide.

Garforth were dead and buried until the final ten minutes. Defender Ryan Donoghue was an unlikely goal-scorer before Mark Simpson scored his 29th goal of the season.
