Nigel Emery has been sacked by Selby Town after the club’s committee voted to unanimously relieve him of his duties.
The club say that he has been axed because of posts on social media about the club – which they say broke the club’s code of conduct.
Tension has been building for some time. Emery criticised the club’s committee in the York Press in February, while chairman Ralph Pearse recently said the season had been disappointing.
The news ends a year in permanent charge for Emery, who was Selby’s under 19s boss before taking over from Dave Ricardo.
Interested parties are asked to get in touch with Selby before the deadline of Friday 6th May. Selby also say that candidates should have a UEFA B coaching license.
