Rimmington to stay on at ‘Sedge

Toolstation NCEL Premier Division

Liversedge manager Jonathan Rimmington

Jonathan Rimmington is to lead Liversedge for a third campaign next season.

Rimmington has confirmed his intention to stay on at Clayborn after talks with the club’s hierarchy.

With an exciting young team, the Sedge’ boss has done a superb job over the last two years. He stemmed their slide down the table in his first campaign before leading them to their highest finish since 2010 last month.

Rimmington is likely to continue his policy of handing regular first team opportunities to young players who want to test themselves at a good level. He has shown this with the likes of Vaughan Redford, Alfie Raw, Cody Cromack and Marc Lumb, among others.

Rimmington will also be quoted in two local newspapers this week, urging support from local businesses, including multi-nationals, to help ‘Sedge develop their club.
