Maltby Main hope to name their new manager this week after receiving a deluge of interest in the role.
Interviews are currently underway in the race to succeed Spencer Fearn, who has taken up the position of manager at Frickley Athletic.
He will be a hard act to follow as he turned Maltby from a bottom six team into challengers for the top half.
The club say that chairman Wilf Race has been staggered by the quality and number of applications received.
