Nick Guest is leaving Hemsworth for Mansfield
Hemsworth Miners Welfare’s prodigal son Nick Guest is going to be playing for AFC Mansfield next season.
It is sad news for Hemsworth’s fans, who have lost their top goal-scorer, as well as Yorkshire Non League Football fans as one of its most talented Yorkshire-based players has crossed the border.
Guest returned to Fitzwilliam last August after a very prolific previous spell.
He will be remembered for many brilliant moments such as his goal in the 2015 GroundHop Day demolition of AFC Emley and his memorable stoppage time double in the lazarus victory over Grimsby Borough. Guest famously jumped into the crowd to celebrate his 96th minute winner.
