The departure of assistant manager Paul Clayton has been announced by Thackley.

Clayton was major part of Thackley’s best-placed finish in a number of years. He stood in for a period of time before Christmas when Chris Reape was away because he had to have a major operation.

Thackley said: “He goes with the best wishes of everybody at the club and our heartfelt thanks for all the work that he has put in with Chris and the players in helping to rescue the club when we were at our lowest point.

“He will always be assured of a warm welcome anytime he wants to return to Dennyfield whether it is just a social visit or whether he returns with another club.”
