Well-travelled Non League player Niall O’Brien has returned to Thackley to join Chris Reape’s coaching staff.

Former first team boss Andy Patterson also rejoins the set-up as Reape shakes things up following the departure of Paul Clayton to Knaresborough Town.

Patterson previously managed Thackley at the start of the 2014/15 season. He has also served the club as reserve team manager.

O’Brien, who as a player was known for his long throw, enters the world of coaching/management for the first time. In his playing career, he played for a wide range of clubs including Bradford (Park Avenue), Halifax Town, Hucknall Town, Scarborough Athletic, Eastwood Town, Retford United, Ossett Albion, Ossett Town and Wakefield & Emley.
