Young Maltby Main striker Ryan Carroll has been given his chance to shine in the Evo Stik by Stocksbridge Park Steels.

The Handsworth Parramore academy graduate enjoyed a good 15 month spell with Maltby – he finished as their top goal-scorer with 20 goals this year.

Depending on who else stays or joins the Steels in the summer, Carroll could be part of a dangerous front-line which will definitely include star man Joe Lumsden.

“Ryan was one of our number one targets so we’re delighted to get him on board,” Chris Hilton told Non League Yorkshire.

“He’s done really well at Maltby in the past two seasons and he fits the bill as to what we were looking for. He’s big, strong, quick so we think he will be a great addition.”

Carroll joins Lumsden, Matt Reay, David Reay and Richard Stirrup as the players currently on the books for Stocksbridge for next season.
