Adam Priestley is back at Farsley Celtic

Promoted Farsley Celtic have re-signed Gibraltar International striker Adam Priestley, who was at Alfreton Town last season.

Priestley has been one of Farsley’s best strikers in recent memory from his stint at the club between 2012 and 2015. He left to join Shaw Lane AFC back then.

“I cannot wait to get playing for the club again, I am 100% happy to be back here at the club,” Priestley told Farsley’s official website.

“I’ve had a couple of up and down seasons and I can’t wait to get firing again for Farsley Celtic.

“The last two seasons have been a bit hit and miss, but to be back here in familiar surroundings feels right. I just want to start where I left off a couple of years ago.

“As soon as I received the phone call from Adam (Lakeland) I couldn’t think higher of the way he put over his thinking for the new season over to me. He clearly has great plans to move the club forward. He really didn’t have to sell the club to me because I know what it is all about, but he did do.”

  1. The return of the Priest to Throstle Nest. Again. This push out the door leads to Aiden Savory moving on to join the seadogs.
Since he was available I’m surprised Kittrick didn’t go after the Priest too, to try to complete his 2014 Farsley set.

  2. He has always been a trier, and may well play better with James Walshaw than Sav did/would in 2017-18. He is valuable too, as he brings in UEFA money from player international payments. Sort of pays for himself.
