Vastly-experienced Gregg Anderson has dropped down two Divisions to become a player/coach at Knaresborough Town.
Anderson left Tadcaster Albion a few days ago, despite being named in the Evo Stik Division One North team of the year.
He joins one of his local clubs – fitting the bill for Paul Stansfield, who said two months ago that he was looking for experience in the summer.
“I am extremely proud to announce that we have signed Gregg Anderson as player coach,” Stansfield said.
“He is not only a fantastic player but also an outstanding leader who will help the rest of our players. He was voted in the Evo Stik team of the year last season and shows the quality he has.
“I have known him for 15 years and know exactly what we are getting on and off the pitch. (Assistant) Paul (Clayton) and I can’t wait to start working with him and to get pre-season going.”
