Lewis Nightingale is staying at promotion-winning Farsley Celtic for another season after signing a new deal.

Apart from a brief stint at Darlington, the midfielder has been with Farsley since 2013.

For the past two seasons he has made the Division One North team of the season so getting his committal is a major thing for Farsley.

“It is great news that Lewis has re-signed for the coming season,” Adam Lakeland said.

“I worked with him previously at Curzon Ashton for a brief spell and have kept a close eye on his career since then, hoping that I would get the opportunity to work with him again. Therefore I am delighted that the chance has arisen here at Farsley as Lewis has put pen to paper for another year.

“Lewis is a smashing lad, an excellent technician and a player with a wonderful imagination. He has the ability to do something out of nothing and all good teams need a player or players like that.

“He weighs in with a reasonable amount of goals and assists each season and I think his overall contribution to the team both with and without the ball is improving all the time as he continues to mature as a player.

“I’m sure he will prove to be a key member of the team in the coming campaign.”
