Striker Aiden Savory has changed his mind about signing for Scarborough Athletic and has instead decided to join up with Tadcaster Albion.
Savory’s change of heart under-lines the perils of announcing signings of non-contracted players before July 1st.
Savory, who can also act a centre-back, recently left Farsley Celtic after four years at Throstle Nest. Tadcaster also announced the captures of Chris Howarth and Joel Dixon on top of Savory.
“We have known about Aiden for years but only as a striker” said Mike Morton.
“Last season we saw him play centre-back for Farsley and we knew that he would fit into our playing model. He is strong, athletic and very comfortable in possession of the ball.
“His experience playing as a front man and as a centre half gives us great options to change our style of play.”
