Armthorpe Welfare defender Steven Garner
Long-serving Steve Garner has committed himself to another season with Armthorpe Welfare after overcoming injury problems.
A former Supporters Player of the Season in 2013/14, Garner missed a good part of last season through injury but has come back strong during pre-season.
Mike Carmody said: “It’s great to welcome Steve back to the club after a few injury problems last season. Steve has been a big part of my plans since I came to the club last year and he’s come back this pre season looking really sharp.
“We are hopeful he can put those injuries behind him this season as I believe when fit he’s up there with the best centre halves in the league. He adds real quality to the squad and is a great organiser on the pitch so is a welcome boost for us.”
