Stohrer completes Kettering move

Gary Stohrer has joined Kettering Town after moving back down south

Former Shaw Lane AFC, Ossett Town, Garforth Town and Frickley Athletic right-back Gary Stohrer has joined Kettering Town.

Stohrer left Frickley at the end of last season after deciding to move back to his home county of Northamptonshire – having left home a few years ago to attend Leeds Beckett University.

Stohrer entered the West Yorkshire Non League scene with Garforth in 2013. His performances quickly earned moves to Ossett and then Shaw Lane.

He remains one of Craig Elliott’s best signings at Shaw Lane as he was part of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division title-winning side in 2015, as well as the side that reached the FA Vase quarter-finals.

Gary Stohrer was part of the great Shaw Lane AFC team of 2015 which won the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division title
