Frickley Athletic manager Spencer Fearn
Young defender Fabian Bailey has been rewarded with a deal at Frickley Athletic after impressing in pre-season.
19-year-old Bailey arrives from Rotherham United where has been part of their under 19s.
Fearn said “We have been really impressed with Fabian since he started with us. It can be difficult to make the step up from Academy football to our level, but he has done this very well. He’s very good technically, strong and has a terrific work ethic.
“Our thanks go to Garreth Barker at Rotherham United for making us aware of his availability.”
Done well in pre-season has young Fabien however its a different kettle of fish once the real deal starts, seems the recruitment of the proven players such as Big Gav, JC, Ible etc has dried up a little, not surprising as them guy’s must be taking up most of the budget, lets hope that some of the young lads can step up and fill the gaps so to speak, certainly an intresting and risky(?) stratergy by the new regime but one things for sure exciting times ahead either way
