Sheerien Park was packed last year when a Barnsley X1 visited
Athersley Rec are preparing a bumper payday when a Barnsley X1 visit Sheerien Park tomorrow night.
The Rec are hoping that it is a repeat of last year’s fixture when Sheerien Park was packed to the rafters. Ryan Smith scored the winner for them in a solitary goal win last year.
It is Athersley’s fourth friendly of the summer. After Barnsley, the Rec face Hall Green United and Matlock Town before the big kick off with the Emirates FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round tie against West Didsbury & Chorlton.
