Attacker Lee Turner scored a stunning goal from the edge of the area for Garforth
Lee Turner’s curling stunner secured a late 2-1 victory for Garforth Town at West Yorkshire League Division One side Whitkirk Wanderers.
Whitkirk gave Garforth a huge test and really made them work for their third victory of pre-season.
The first half saw Turner go close with a strongly-hit effort. The deadlock was broken straight after the interval when Mitch Hamilton turned home former Whitkirk player Ollie Maude’s free kick.
A draw was on the cards as the game approached its close as James Dyson had equalised for the home side.
That was until Turner curled home an effort from the left-side of the penalty area.
