Nodder screamer wins it for Frickley

Frickley Athletic 1-0 Hyde United

Josh Nodder hit a screamer to earn Frickley a 1-0 win over Hyde

Josh Nodder’s wonder strike ensured Frickley Athletic continued their fine run of results in pre-season.

Nodder hit the winner in the second half of a friendly which was very tight.

Both sides look set to enjoy good seasons in their respective Divisions and it could be said they both cancelled each other out.

Hyde arguably had the better chances in the first half.

Frickley were much stronger going forward in the second and it took Nodder’s thunderbolt from the left of the penalty area to break the deadlock.

Well-travelled striker David Brown was a real live-wire for Hyde and appeared to have scored an equaliser before Frickley goalkeeper Seb Malkowski made a magnificent save to earn Frickley the win.
