Jonny Irving rescued a point for Eccleshill United in the dying minutes of the topsy-turvy clash at promotion-chasing Yorkshire Amateur.

Eccleshill led 2-0 against the Ammers as Luke Harrop netted twice in the opening 26 minutes.

The fight-back from the Ammers started in first half stoppage time. Unsurprisingly it was Ash Flynn who drove a spectacular free kick into the top corner from 25 yards.

Flynn was soon level matters early in the second half. Chris Lever committed a foul in the penalty area and Flynn dispatched the spot kick.

Luke Sharry would hit the goal of the day with a 30-yard screamer to put the Ammers ahead.

Fortunately for Eccleshill there was salvation as Irving equalised with an effort from the edge of the penalty area.
