Silent assassin Mark Simpson, the former Garforth Town striker, has left Frickley
Mark Simpson, the deadly striker who broke several records at Garforth Town last season, has left Frickley Athletic on the eve of the new season.
The forward signed for Frickley in June after opting to try his luck in the Evo Stik.
Simpson will not be short of offers as he attracted a lot of interest last season after scoring in ten consecutive games for Garforth. He ended the campaign with 30 league games.
Spencer Fearn told Non League Yorkshire: “Mark has decided to move on in order to secure regular first team football, which we cannot give him.
“In the short time he has been with us he’s worked hard and it’s clear he has ability. We wish him all the very best for the future, his new club will be getting a cracking lad.”
