Shaw Lane AFC will play their first competitive game at Athersley Rec tonight when Mickleover Sports visit.
The Ducks have played a friendly at the venue, but tonight sees the first Evo Stik Premier Division clash at the highly-regarded Sheerien Park.
Shaw Lane will be hoping to put things after losing 3-1 at Sutton Coldfield Town on the opening day of the season.
Stocksbridge Park Steels are also hoping to bounce back from defeat tonight as they visit Basford United in the Evo Stik South.
Chris Hilton knows his side face a difficult task on the 3g pitch at Basford.
“We’re back at it on Monday with another tough side to play,” Hilton told Non League Yorkshire.
“It is always a hard place to go. We just have to brush ourselves down and go for it. We need to get something whether it is a draw or a win.”
