New-look AFC Emley kick-started their season with a spectacular 5-0 victory at Retford United – their first victory under the management of Joe Howson.
The signs were good for Emley inside the opening five minutes as former Penistone Church striker Lewis Dickinson fired them ahead.
Sam Scrivens doubled the lead before half-time.
It was left to ex-Nostell and Carlton forward Matty Jackson to wrap up the victory with a 15 minute hat-trick late-on.
Jordan Harrison scored a late equaliser to rescue a 2-2 draw for East Yorkshire Carnegie against Swallownest.
Brandon Ashmore and Michael Staley had put Swallownest in a winning position.
