Spencer Harris scored Shaw Lane’s second goal
Shaw Lane AFC have well and truly got their season underway after a very impressive 2-0 victory at Buxton – their second consecutive win.
It was former Buxton player Nicky Walker who put the Ducks on the path to victory as his deflected first half strike deceived home goalkeeper Jan Budtz to place Shaw Lane in front.
Former Wakefield FC goalkeeper Budtz would then make a blunder to hand Spencer Harris a goal on the hour mark.
Alex Byrne thought he had killed Buxton off with the third, but his goal was ruled out for offside.
In the other game concerning Yorkshire, Farsley Celtic and Lancaster City finished goal-less.
