Selby Town 1-2 Yorkshire Amateur
Seventeen-year-old Lewis Pickering struck a dramatic 94th minute winner for Yorkshire Amateur to deny brave Selby Town a point.
Ever-improving Selby had given everything in the contest and even took the lead through Charlie Clamp’s 80th minute penalty.
However, Danny Naidole equalised pretty much straightaway and ambitious Ammers went onto do what Selby did to Rossington four days earlier.
Although they will be disappointed to lose, Selby have to look on the brighter side of life. Christian Fox is clearly doing a good job, despite taking over in May and having to completely rebuild the whole playing squad.
With signings like goalkeeper Paul Hagreen and young striker Casey Stewart, Selby mean business and the latter hit the crossbar in the first half.
Selby came strong in the last 20 minutes. Clamp hit the crossbar, while Brett Lucas saw his goal-bound header palmed clear.
Clamp provided the breakthrough, but the Ammers staged a dramatic finale to take all three points.
