Shaw Lane win at last in FA Cup

Emirates FA Cup

Chib Chilaka scored twice for Shaw Lane

Ten man Shaw Lane finally won an FA Cup game after seeing off Radcliffe Borough 3-1 in the first qualifying round tie in Barnsley.

Chib Chilaka was the main man with a double for the Ducks. He opened the scoring with a volley on 13 minutes.

The scary moment was the dismissal of goalkeeper Jon Stewart. Radcliffe scored the resulting penalty.

Fortunately Shaw Lane did not let that stop them as Chilaka and David Norris added two more goals before half-time to send the Ducks through.

Handsworth Parramore came from behind to win 2-1 at Skelmersdale United – Simon Harrison and Aaron Moxam got the goals.

Albion Sports are into the second qualifying round for the first ever time after Danny Facey’s last minute goal saw them get past Barnoldswick Town in a 3-2 win.

Liversedge drew 0-0 at Sunderland RCA.
