Church and Parramore set for big battles

Emirates FA Cup

Penistone Church have played several ‘biggest game in their history’ in 2017

Penistone Church and Handsworth Parramore are set for arguably the biggest games in their history today.

The Toolstation NCEL Premier Division sides are in Emirates FA Cup second round qualifying round action.

Penistone face the impossible with a trip to play full-time National North side Harrogate Town. That said, how many times has the impossible phrase being used to describe a Penistone fixture? The last time was two weeks when they incredibly beat Whitby Town with ten men in the last round.

Handsworth are likely to get one of their biggest ever attendances when struggling FC United of Manchester visit Sandy Lane. Because of FC’s form, many will say that Handsworth could cause an upset.

Also in FA Cup are Ossett Town who host Atherton Collieries and Shaw Lane who head to Blyth Spartans.
