Young Worsbrough Bridge midfielder Josh McKeegan
The Lee Morris era at Worsbrough Bridge began with a 2-1 win over Phoenix in the first round of the Senior Cup.
Things couldn’t have got off to a better start for Morris as midfielder Chris Walton fired Bridge ahead in the seventh minute.
Phoenix equalised before youngster Josh McKeegan fired home the winner on the stroke of half-time.
Ben Grech-Brooksbank had a nightmare second half as he had his penalty saved before seeing red a few minutes later. Phoenix also had a player dismissed.
Worsbrough held on and hopefully their second consecutive win will breed more confidence ahead of Morris’ first league game in charge.
