Player/assistant manager Ross Shelton is in charge of Parkgate for the next few weeks as Graham Nicholas is taking a mini break because of work commitments.
Shelton is now leading a mass recruitment drive to bolster Parkgate’s squad which has been savaged by unfortunate departures of several key players to local clubs.
The former Ossett Town midfielder has signed Daniel Abdullah, Piers Bond, George Morley, Damon Watson and Liam Graham this week.
The news comes days after Parkgate’s 2-1 home defeat to Garforth Town.
Shelton’s first game at the helm is the trip to Staveley Miners Welfare tomorrow.
