The Disability Football sessions at Nostell Miners Welfare are going well
Something special is brewing at Toolstation NCEL Division One side Nostell Miners Welfare.
The newly-formed Adult Disability Football team, run in association with NLY Community Sport, has made remarkable progress in just five weeks and things are looking very bright.
Coach Connor Rollinson said: “Myself and James (Grayson) are absolutely delighted with the number of players we have managed to recruit in just five weeks.
“But the hard work does not stop there. We’re still very much actively recruiting for more players.
“With numbers going up so quickly, myself and James think something special is being created at Crofton Community Centre.
“It is not just about the football, it is about the social side and the opportunity to make long-standing friendships, along with helping people escape social isolation.”
Nostell Miners Welfare DFC train every Friday at Crofton Community Centre between 6pm and 7pm on the all-weather pitch.
