Talented former Athersley Rec midfielder Kieran Scargill has joined free-scoring league leaders Pontefract Collieries.
Scargill joins the Colls from Evo Stik North outfit Ossett Albion.
The Pontefract management team said: “We are delighted to get Kieran on board. He’s a player we’ve targeted on a few occasions and we are happy to finally complete his signing.
“Some of our fans will have seen his quality in last week’s game and we are excited to welcome him into a talented squad.”
The day of movement at Pontefract has seen Chris Jackson bid farewell as he is off travelling in Australia, along with the departure of Connor Peace.
It has also seen the return of versatile midfielder Calum Stapleton, who was part of last season’s promotion-winning squad.
Goole forward Bruno Holden has also joined.
Mustn’t have been able to get James Hurtley as he was the first choice I heard but Scargill ain’t a bad player, good signing
