Four first half goals eased Hemsworth Miners Welfare to a 4-2 home victory over Hallam in the second round tie.

Danny Critchlow, Nash Connolly (2) and Brad Dockerty struck as the Wells raced into an unassailable lead.

Late goals from James Reed and Will Saxon reduced the deficit.

Glasshoughton Welfare beat Nostell Miners Welfare 4-0 after a strong second half performance.

Conor Glavin gave Glasshoughton the lead just before half time and, two from man of the match Andy Horbury, and an audacious final goal from Ryan Ferguson sealed the win, their third home win in seven days.
