Thackley 2-4 Hall Road Rangers
Hall Road Rangers returned to winning ways as they saw off Thackley with another fine three points away from home.
Having lost their last three games it was business as usual for Bill Gill and his side on West Yorkshire with a comprehensive display.
Tom Bennett set Rangers on their way with just a quarter of an hour played, but Rangers were soon pegged back as almost immediately Julius Omosebi equalised for the hosts.
Rangers were not to be undone though and showed great determination and willingness to get back to winning ways.
Josh Batty, returning to the side after unavailability ruled him out of last weekend’s fixture with Athersley notched his fourth goal in as many games nine minutes later restored Hall Road’s lead.
In cold conditions, Rangers to their credit tried to play an attractive style of football, they did however look vulnerable to Thackley’s physical presence and direct style of play.
Young Alex Stock, making his senior debut after impressing for Rangers second string, stood out in particular.
Rangers powered to victory themselves though in the second half as skipper Bennett netted a rare brace, grabbing his second and Rangers third with fifteen minutes to play.
They made sure of the points just three minutes later as Gareth Owen made it 4-1, before Mike Garrod reduced the arrears on 82 minutes from the penalty spot.
