Non League Yorkshire

Pontefract to provide Christmas dinners

Pontefract Collieries

Pontefract Collieries are making sure no-one is forgotten about on Christmas Day.

The Colls are working with Pontefract Family Centre to provide Christmas dinners and festive cheer.

The Real Bread Company will be open from 12pm until 3pm, and people who want a bit of companionship are encouraged to attend.

Non League Yorkshire and NLY Community Sport are throwing their weight behind the project. James Grayson and Connor Rollinson as they both share the same views that Christmas can be a bad time for a lot of people, especially those on their own.

The Collieries pride themselves on their community work and 2017 has been a very successful for the club, not just on-the-pitch.

The well-known Pontefract Pirates is thriving at adult and junior level, while over ten people with learning difficulties are now in paid employment at the club through a successful partnership with Mencap.

If anyone wants to donate, or wants more information, please contact organiser Trevor Waddington on 07539485170 or by email at trevor@pontecolls.co.uk.
