Glasshoughton captain Andy McManus has joined Athersley
Glasshoughton Welfare have lost their captain and key centre-back Andy McManus to Athersley Rec.
It is the second major blow that Glasshoughton have taken in over a week, having also lost the Showman Ryan Poskitt to Nostell Miners Welfare.
McManus, a very experienced defender, will be a key addition to Luke Potter’s side.
He arrives ahead of the back-to-back Christmas clashes with Handsworth Parramore.
Glasshoughton have announced the signing of local lad and striker Jamie Simpson who has been playing in the Wakefield Premier Division.
